You will enter your name in two places on GoFundMe:
- When you set up your GoFundMe account: this name will be displayed publicly and can be a nickname or a shortened name.
- When you set up your bank transfers: this name will remain private. It must be your legal name and match the one on your ID and bank statement.
If you add a beneficiary to your fundraiser, their account name will also appear on the fundraiser page. This can also be a nickname if the beneficiary would prefer.
