When will I receive my money?

This article explains the expected timeline once you’ve completed the initial withdrawal setup, along with some of the reasons a withdrawal might be delayed.

The first step is to complete the process of setting up withdrawals. This includes sharing your personal and banking details with us and our payment processor and, in some situations, providing additional supporting documentation. 

Make sure the withdrawal set-up is complete and verified

After withdrawals have been set up successfully, you will see a scheduled withdrawal (showing the estimated arrival date) within your GoFundMe account. On average, the funds will be deposited in your bank account 2-5 working days after the date they are sent, and your GoFundMe account will show the estimated arrival date. 

NB: The transfer speed of 2-5 working days is highly dependent on the processing speed of your bank. Unfortunately, GoFundMe is not able to speed up the process.

Withdrawal is not the full amount

If the withdrawal amount is less than you expected, it may be because some donations are still being processed. As soon as donations are processed and verified, they are added to your next scheduled withdrawal. You can read more about that here.

Withdrawal has been sent but has not reached bank after 10 working days

If you haven't received your funds within 10 working days after they were sent and they have not been returned to your GoFundMe account, please use this form to contact our team so that we can help you locate the funds.

Withdrawal date keeps being rescheduled

If the scheduled withdrawal date in your withdrawal overview keeps being pushed back, it is because we need additional information or there is an error in the information provided. Here is more information about how to resolve these situations:

  • Have I entered my personal information with someone else’s bank details?
  • Didn't I enter my full, legal name?
  • Have I uploaded documents multiple times and am I still receiving an error message?

  • Has it been more than 5 working days since I set up  withdrawals?
  • Is there a banner in my GoFundMe account asking for additional verification?
  • Have I already received some funds, but then withdrawals stopped?
Documents need to be uploaded for our Payment Partner to verify. Upload necessary documents to your account by clicking the "Withdraw" icon in your GoFundMe account. Learn more about that process here.
  • Have I received an email notifying me of a withdrawal that never arrived?
  • Am I being prompted to update my bank account details within my GoFundMe account?
Incorrect bank details have been entered. Contact your bank to make sure the information you are using is correct, then re-enter your bank details by clicking the "Withdraw" icon in your GoFundMe account.
  • Has it been more than 5 working days since the withdrawal was sent, and I haven’t received any additional notifications about a verification issue?
A withdrawal was sent using the correct bank account details but has not arrived. Contact our team so that we can work with our payment processor to locate the funds.
  • Have I received an email titled "Important Message from GoFundMe" or "Urgent Message from GoFundMe"?
  • Is some aspect of my fundraiser prohibited by GoFundMe’s Terms of Service?
  • Is there a red banner within my GoFundMe account?
Your account is under review by our Trust & Safety team. Reply to the email that was sent by our team and include any information requested. If you did not receive an email, contact our team for support.
