If you need to refund a donation that was just recently made, or refund a tip made to GoFundMe, please contact us to see if we can cancel it for you. This is often possible the calendar day the donation is made.
Otherwise, since all donations are immediately available to the campaign organiser and may have already been withdrawn, we encourage donors to contact the campaign organiser to request a refund so they understand why the funds might be taken out of their account.
Withdrawals usually occur around or a little after midnight.
To do this, visit the campaign you have donated to and click or tap on the envelope icon next to the campaign organiser’s name to send them a message about refunding your donation.
If you don't feel comfortable contacting the campaign organiser, please contact our team and share your reasoning for requesting a refund so that we can help.
