Problems accepting a beneficiary invitation
Once an invitation is sent, the beneficiary will receive an email titled “An invitation to accept money". Click “Accept money” within the email. You’ll be prompted to sign into or set up a new GoFundMe account, and then you can set up bank transfers.
If you’re having trouble accepting the invitation, the organiser will need to send it to a different email address. Please ask the organiser to cancel the current invitation and send a new one from their GoFundMe account. The GoFundMe organiser can follow these steps to cancel the invitation:
- Log into your GoFundMe account and select "Your fundraisers" from the menu in the top right corner

Choose the fundraiser you've sent the beneficiary invitation for
- US fundraisers - Select "Fundraiser" > "Transfers"
- All other countries - Select "Transfers"
- Select "Cancel" under the pending beneficiary invitation
Now the organiser can resend the invitation to a new email address. If you don’t already have an alternative email, there are multiple free options to create a new one.
