Is your campaign unable to accept donations? Check out the reasons why donations become paused and how to fix them here.
Verify Email
If your email address has not been verified within 14 days of your first donation, donations to your campaign will be paused.
To accept donations again, search for the email titled “Verify Your GoFundMe Email” and confirm your email address.
Setting up withdrawals
If withdrawals have not been set up within 30 days of your first donation, incoming donations to your campaign will be paused.
You will receive emails every day reminding you to set this up, but another way to check if you still need to do this is by signing into your account. A notification will show up explaining if you need to update your personal information, bank information, or both.
To accept donations again, just set up your withdrawals by selecting the ‘Withdraw’ button.
Update campaign information
There will be certain situations where GoFundMe’s Community Management or Trust & Safety Team will require updates be made to your campaign and put it on hold until the changes are made. If this is the reason your donations aren’t going through, the campaign organizer will receive an email about these necessary changes.
To accept donations again, make sure the questions in the email are addressed and reply to the message you received. This article explains these holds in more detail.
Campaign is under review
For your safety and security, our payment partners review campaigns to ensure all funds go to the right place. If there is a question about your withdrawals, the payment partner will reach out to you directly, and sometimes put incoming donations on hold.
To accept donations again, follow the directions shared by the payment partner in their email.
