Did not receive verification email

Signed up with Google or Apple? Your email is automatically verified – you don't need to take any action and this article doesn't apply to you. If you're having trouble setting up bank transfers, visit this article instead.

Step 1: Check your spam or junk folder

The verification email sometimes gets filtered before it reaches your inbox. Search your spam, junk, or promotions folder for an email titled "Verify your GoFundMe email" – it will look like this:

If you find it, click "Verify email" to complete verification.

Step 2: Confirm you're checking the right inbox

If the email isn't anywhere in your inbox or spam, it's possible it was sent to a different address than you expected – particularly if there was a typo when you signed up.

To check the email address on your account, go to your GoFundMe account settings.

  1. Sign into your GoFundMe account
  2. Select “Account settings” from the menu in the top right corner
  3. Scroll to the “Email address” section to confirm which address the verification email is being sent to

If the address is wrong, update it there, then resend the verification email using the steps below.

Step 3: Resend the verification email

Resend your verification email through your Account settings:

  1. Log into your GoFundMe account
  2. Select “Account settings” from the menu in the top right corner
  3. Scroll to the “Email address” section
  4. Click the “Send verification email” link

You can also resend from your Transfers page using these steps:

  1. Sign into your GoFundMe account and choose "Your fundraisers" from the top-right menu
  2. Select the fundraiser you're setting up transfers for
    • US fundraisers: On the "Today" page, choose "Fundraiser" > "Transfers"
    • All other countries: On your fundraiser dashboard, choose "Transfers"
  3. Select "Resend email" and check your inbox again – including spam

Still haven't received it?

If you've checked spam, confirmed your email address, and resent the email but still haven't received it, our team can help.

Use the “Contact us” button to get in touch with our team. We’ll send an email to the email on file, and once you reply (confirming it’s an active email account), we can manually verify your email for you.
