Increase your reach with auto-generated sharing features

Sharing is easier than ever with GoFundMe’s auto-generated sharing features. Now organisers, donors and supporters can easily share videos, posters and compelling messages generated by GoFundMe to help showcase your fundraiser. 

Please note: Videos are only available in English in the following countries: the US, Canada, Australia, Ireland and the UK. Thanks for your patience as we work to expand the feature.

The sharing options will be generated from the content you add to your fundraiser including your main media, title, and story. To help GoFundMe generate the best sharing content for you, be sure to include lots of photos and details. Check out an auto-generated poster example below:

Follow these steps to easily share your fundraiser:

1. Log into your GoFundMe account
2. Choose the fundraiser you’d like to share
   • US fundraisers - From your "Today" page, select "Share"
   • All other countries - From your fundraiser dashboard, select "Share fundraiser"
3. Choose which sharing option you want to use
4. Depending on the sharing option, GoFundMe will generate a video, poster, or message

Note: Some sharing options like Instagram and TikTok are only available on a mobile device, either on a mobile browser or with the GoFundMe app. If you aren’t seeing the sharing option you want on desktop, try downloading the app.

Here's where you'll be able to share each of these auto-generated sharing options:

Videos can be shared on Youtube, TikTok, Snapchat, Facebook Reel, Facebook Story and Instagram Reels. If you opt out of video sharing, direct sharing from GoFundMe to these platforms will be disabled, since these platforms must have a video in order to share.

Posters can be shared on LinkedIn, Whatsapp, Instagram Post, Instagram Story, Nextdoor, Facebook Post, X and Messenger.

You can generate messages to share from any sharing option. 

If you’d rather not have sharing content generated from your fundraiser content, you can opt out at any time in your fundraiser settings. However, if you opt out, you, your donors and supporters may be limited in sharing options directly from GoFundMe. 

Follow these steps to opt out of auto-generated sharing:

1. Log into your GoFundMe account and choose "Your fundraisers" from the top right menu
2. Choose the fundraiser you’d like to opt out of auto-generated sharing
   • US fundraisers - Choose "Fundraiser" > "Change fundraiser settings"
   • All other countries - Choose "Edit" under your title > Toggle to "Settings"
3. Scroll to the “Sharing” section
4. Toggle off some or all of the auto-generated sharing options
5. Select “Save” to apply your choices
