How to add a video to your fundraiser

To use a video on your GoFundMe, you'll need to use a video that's been posted publicly to YouTube. 

To upload your video to YouTube, follow these steps:

1. Create or sign in to your account with YouTube Studio
2. Once signed in, click "Create" in the top right-hand corner
3. Select "Upload videos" from the drop-down menu
4. Select the file to be uploaded
5. Once it's uploaded, you can continue to follow prompts to give your video a title and edit it to your specifications before officially uploading to YouTube
6. Once you’ve set your specifications, make sure the video is set to "Public" and select “Save” to complete the upload

To use the video as the main image for your fundraiser, sign in to your GoFundMe account and follow these steps:

1. Select “Start a GoFundMe”
2. Fill in your fundraiser details - title, target etc.
3. When prompted to provide a main image, click the "Add a YouTube video" button
4. Paste your video link into the field provided and select "Continue"
5. You can then finish launching your fundraiser and the video will be your main image

To add a video to your story, sign in to your GoFundMe account and follow these steps:

1. Select "Edit" below your fundraiser title
2. Scroll to the story section
3. Select "Edit" to expand your story text box, and then choose the Image icon
4. Click "Add a YouTube video"
5. Paste your link into the text box, select “Add video”, and then select “Save”
6. Select "Save" again to save the changes to your story
