Changing the bank account used for transfers

You can change the bank account on file for an active fundraiser at any time. You can edit the bank details using Instant Verification or Manual Entry.

Editing the bank information will affect all fundraisers in your GoFundMe account. If you want the funds from different fundraisers to go to different accounts, you'll need to add a beneficiary.

To edit bank details using Instant Verification:

  1. Select the fundraiser which you want to update bank details for and then select "Bank transfers"
  2. Scroll to the "Bank information" section and select the pencil icon next to the bank account
  3. Select "Edit bank account" and you'll be taken to our payment partner's secure information portal
  4. Under Bank Details, select the bank currently on file and then choose "Delete" from the drop-down menu
  5. Click under Bank Details again to add new information, then select "Instant Verification" and then "Next"
  6. Either choose your bank from the list or search for your bank in the search bar
  7. Continue to follow prompts to sign in to your online banking portal and select the account you'd like to add
  8. When you've selected the account you want, you can return to GoFundMe
