When your coworkers are in need, we have several ways for your company to support individual employees, set up donation matching, or team fundraise with our partner, Crowdrise.
For Individual Coworkers or Employees
If you’d like to get started with a GoFundMe campaign as a collective organization or company, we can help you withdraw the funds to your organization’s bank account. This is easy to set up, and the organization's EIN will be used for tax reporting.
Afterwards, funds can be disbursed to each employee individually from the company’s account.
We simply ask that you clearly explain in your campaign story how the money will be withdrawn, distributed, and ultimately allocated to the affected individuals. Click here to learn more about withdrawing as an organization, and here to learn more about taxes.
If your company will be matching all donations to your campaign, we recommend that you clearly state your match promise at the very top of your campaign’s Story. Explain that you will be matching X dollars donated by X date. After X date, your organization can donate that amount back to the campaign, or outside of GoFundMe.
If you’re on a laptop/desktop, make sure to bold this by highlighting the text, and typing 'control' and 'b.'
If you’re looking for options outside of individual fundraising, we can connect you with our charity branch at CrowdRise, where they can provide options for team fundraising and charity integration. Or, if you have multiple employees you’d like to fundraise for and are interested in setting up multiple campaigns, please let us know, and we will try to come up with alternate options for your team.
Don’t have the time or resources to create a campaign? Donate to a campaign directly benefiting those affected by Hurricane Irma, Hurricane Harvey, Hurricane Maria or the earthquakes in Mexico. If you can't donate, share the links to these home pages or a specific campaign to increase the amount of people who support those affected.
