I live in the United States or a US Territory
You can create a GoFundMe for yourself, friends, family, or your community. As long as you meet the following requirements, you can raise funds on GoFundMe from the United States (including Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands):
- US phone number
- US mailing address *
- US Bank Account
- Social Security Number
*If you’re having an issue verifying your address in a US territory, please contact us.
If you live in mainland United States, you can create a GoFundMe and add your beneficiary in the US territories directly. Learn more about that here.
I live in France, the UK, the Netherlands or another GoFundMe supported country and want to help:
You can raise funds for your friends and family in the French, British, or Dutch territories by withdrawing the funds to your personal bank account and sending your beneficiary the funds outside of GoFundMe.
Please be sure you meet the following requirements to withdraw, if you live in a GoFundMe supported country:
- Bank account in a supported country
- Phone number in a supported country
- Passport or National ID card from a supported country
- Physical Address in a supported country
Make sure you set your campaign currency to match the currency your bank account is in. For example, Euros or British Pounds.
I live in a French, British, or Dutch Territory (not France, the UK, or the Netherlands)
- Saint Barthélemy (St. Barts)
- Saint Martin
- British Virgin Islands
- Turks and Caicos
- Sint Maarten
If you live in these territories, reach out to friends or family members living in another GoFundMe supported country and have them create a campaign for you on your behalf. Since they cannot add you as a direct beneficiary, they’ll need to withdraw the funds raised, and send them to you outside of GoFundMe.
I live in an Unsupported Country
The following countries are not currently supported to directly receive funds on GoFundMe:
- Antigua/ Barbuda
- Saint Kitts and Nevis
- Dominican Republic
Reach out to friends or family members living in GoFundMe supported countries and have them create a campaign for you on your behalf. Since they cannot add you as a direct beneficiary, they’ll need to withdraw the funds raised, and send them to you outside of GoFundMe.
As always, the GoFundMe team is here for you. If you have any further questions about how to properly set up your campaign, please contact our team for assistance.
