We're excited to announce that GoFundMe has acquired YouCaring. Through this acquisition, existing and new customers with fundraisers on YouCaring.com will transition over to GoFundMe. Please read below for important information about how this transition affects your current fundraiser on YouCaring.
First, please take a moment to review this list of countries that are supported on GoFundMe to determine which group your current fundraiser on YouCaring falls under.
YouCaring Users in GoFundMe Supported Countries
If you are just getting started and have not yet raised any funds on YouCaring, we recommend that you start a GoFundMe instead so that you can continue raising funds without disruption. Any existing fundraisers on YouCaring located within countries supported by GoFundMe will be able to continue until July 31st, 2018 at 11:59 p.m. PT. After July 31st, your fundraiser will no longer be able to accept donations, and you will not be able to log in to YouCaring directly. Please make sure to begin the withdrawal process before this date to ensure there are no issues receiving your funds.
To continue raising funds after your YouCaring fundraiser closes, you will need to sign up on GoFundMe and create a new campaign here. You won't be able to directly transfer your current YouCaring fundraiser data to a new fundraiser on GoFundMe. However, you'll still have access to your YouCaring fundraiser until July 31st, so you can log in to your account and save what you need to start a new campaign on GoFundMe.
If you do not request a withdrawal from within your YouCaring account before your fundraiser closes on July 31st, you will be able to request a withdrawal directly with the payment partner connected to your YouCaring fundraiser. In most cases, this will be WePay and you will be able to request a withdrawal directly with them after July 31st.
YouCaring Users in Non-GoFundMe Supported Countries
Existing fundraisers on YouCaring located outside of countries support by GoFundMe will continue to accept donations until June 15th, 2018 at 11:59 p.m. PT.
You will be able to log in to your YouCaring account to request a withdrawal up until June 30th. If you wish to save the information from your fundraiser, please log in to your account before that time and download any content you wish to save.
We strongly recommend that you begin the withdrawal process before this date to ensure that there are no issues receiving your funds. If you do not request a withdrawal before your fundraiser closes on June 30th, you will need to request a withdrawal directly with the payment partner connected to your YouCaring fundraiser.
Fundraisers located outside of countries supported by GoFundMe will no longer able to start a new fundraiser on YouCaring or on GoFundMe. It is best to ask a friend or family member who is located within GoFundMe’s list of supported countries to start a fundraiser on your behalf on GoFundMe.
