Withdraw money to your business or organization's bank account

Important Withdrawal Expectations

When withdrawing the funds to an organization’s bank account, there are several things to keep in mind:

  • Ultimate Beneficial Owner (UBO) - Our payment processor may request the name and identification of two individuals (an individual that is considered an owner/controller at the organization and an individual that is considered a signatory for the organization).
  • Necessary documentation - Our payment processor may require additional documentation to finalize the withdrawals.
    • Organization's governmental registration (such as articles of incorporation, articles of association, or certificate of incorporation)
    • Color photos of both sides (front and back) of a government-issued ID for the beneficial owner of the organization
    • A picture of the bank statement to the organization's account
  • Verification timeline - When the documentation is received, it will take our payment processor 1-2 business days to finalize the review.
  • Withdrawal timeline - After the verification process is complete, the funds will be sent out and will arrive in the bank account in 2-5 business days.
  • Please Note: Some US and Canadian accounts will not use this process for withdrawing funds to an organization's account. Please refer to this article for more information

You should have received an email to verify your account when you started the campaign. Simply follow these instructions to have the donations sent to your organization’s bank account:

Step 1. Start by selecting "Withdraw" on your campaign Dashboard. (If using the GoFundMe app, you will select the "Bank transfer" button.)how_to_withdraw.png

Step 2. Verify your phone number.

Step 3. Select “Myself” under “Who will withdraw the funds?”

Step 4. Select "Company" or "Partnership under "What type of bank account will be used to withdraw?"

If your organization doesn't completely fall into one of these categories, you can select whichever is closest to your situation.

Step 5. Add your company information.

You will be required to enter the following information:
  • The legal name of the business as it appears on government forms
  • The DBA (Doing Business As) name of the business
  • The tax ID, company number or EIN (US) connected to the business
  • The business phone number and email address
  • The business address

Step 6. Add your organization's bank information.

You will be required to enter the following information:

  • Account number or IBAN (European accounts)
  • Routing number (US) or Branch code (European accounts)

Step 7. Add your personal information.

Add the personal information for two people (an owner/controller and a signatory).
The following titles are considered an "owner/controller:"
  • Chief Executive Officer
  • Chief Financial Officer
  • Chief Operating Officer
  • Chief Information Officer
  • Chief Strategy Officer
  • President
  • Vice President
  • Executive President
  • Managing Member
  • General Partner
  • Managing Partner
  • Partner
  • Treasurer
  • Director
Signatories are any natural persons that are authorized to act on behalf of or represent the organization.
*If you are an owner/controller within your organization, you can also enter your own information separately as a 'signatory.' However, if you are solely a signatory, you will need to provide the information for an owner/controller at your organization in order for our payment partner to verify your organizational withdrawals.

You will be required to enter the following information for both individuals:

  • Full first and last name (Ensure that this name matches your identification)
  • Home address
  • Phone number
  • Birth date
  • The last four digits of your SSN (US)

Note: Please keep watch in your email inbox (and spam folder) for an email from our team titled, "Important Message from GoFundMe". If you receive that, please respond there as soon as possible. Our team will need to work with you to complete further verification, before funds can be sent.
