We here at GoFundMe, along with our payment processors, want to ensure that your withdrawal experience is both safe and successful.
Your fundraiser can immediately start accepting donations once it’s created. You can also set up your withdrawals right away, which will enable automatic withdrawals while still allowing you to continue raising funds. If you are withdrawing funds to a business or organization's bank account, you can find additional information about organization withdrawals here.
However, as your campaign grows, our payment processor may need additional time to review different aspects of the entered withdrawal information, such as the added personal or bank account information, or both. This is a security measure to continue keeping your funds safe, and it may happen after some of the funds have already been withdrawn.
Typically within a day or two, our payment processor will either be able to either (1) verify the entered information and automatically start or resume withdrawals, or (2) determine that supplemental documentation will be required of you or an added beneficiary to upload, before funds can be sent out.
Learn more about which documentation may be needed, and how to upload it here if required.
