If you created your fundraiser in the US or Canada, prior to July 1, 2020, and completed all verification steps but your donations are still paused, your fundraiser may have been on our old system. On September 30th, GoFundMe made a transition in the system used for processing donations. These fundraisers will no longer be able to accept donations.
That being said, we have options on how you can move forward with your current GoFundMe account.
I am still raising funds for my current fundraiser. How can I continue?
If you are still raising funds for your cause, you will no longer be able to use your current fundraiser. However, we can recreate your campaign for you on our new processor.
We can recreate your campaign and transfer the following information:
- Fundraiser title
- Fundraiser image
- Story
- Donations added as offline donations
- Redirect the old campaign link to the new campaign
If you would still like to re-create your fundraiser, please fill out this form here. Our team will follow up as soon as the change has been made.
Before submitting a request, please confirm that you have finalized all verification requirements. You can view that information in this article, here.
My fundraiser is complete. What next?
If your fundraiser is complete, there is nothing more for you to do. Your fundraiser can remain open if you would like to keep your donors updated.
If you would like to delete your fundraiser, please follow these steps:
1. Sign in to your GoFundMe account
2. Select "Edit and Settings"
3. Scroll down and select "Delete fundraiser"
4. Type 'Delete' in the pop-up box
I want to make a new fundraiser. How do I do that?
If you want to create a new fundraiser, you can use your current GoFundMe account and you will automatically be on our new system. You will not need to create a new GoFundMe account.
