Turning off words of support

Supporters are able to leave messages, also known as words of support, with their donations, which will publicly appear on your fundraiser page. While you aren’t able to reply to these messages, you can send a message directly to donors by using the thank you note function.

If you would prefer not to allow donors to leave words of support, you can disable them using the steps below:

Log into your GoFundMe account and choose "Your fundraisers" from the top right menu
Choose the fundraiser you'd like to edit
- US fundraisers - From your "Today" page, select "Fundraiser" > "Edit fundraiser" > toggle to "Settings"
- All other countries - From your fundraiser dashboard, select "Edit" below your fundraiser title > toggle to "Settings"
Toggle off the option to "Allow words of support"
Select "Save"

Note: If someone is leaving harassing messages on your GoFundMe, we recommend turning off the words of support feature, then click "Contact us" on this page to notify our team.
