How GoFundMe verifies donors
Members of the GoFundMe Risk Team may contact donors by email to confirm their donations. This happens in cases where they donated using another person’s name, from a new location or initially had some trouble completing the donation.
If our team needs to contact you, it will be via email with the subject line “GoFundMe Donation Confirmation Requested”. However, it's always good to be cautious about emails that you receive. If you're concerned about an email that you received, please click "Contact us" to contact our team or forward the email to accountsecurity@gofundme.com.
