Did not receive phone verification code
Unless you sign up using social sign-on with Apple or Google, GoFundMe requires you to set up MFA (multi-factor authentication) to keep your account secure. To do so, you’ll enter your personal phone number where you can receive texts and calls. We're continuously monitoring for unusual activity to prevent unauthorised access to your account, and we may prompt you to verify your MFA phone number during sensitive actions or if there's a need to confirm your identity.
If you have trouble receiving your MFA code, we’re here to help.
If you don't receive the verification code within 10 minutes of requesting it, please use the "Resend code" option. If you end up receiving multiple codes, use the most recent code you've received.
Please also try the following:
- Make sure your device can receive SMS, if you have opted for SMS, and your number isn’t blocked from receiving the message with the code.
- Your device has sufficient signal.
- There’s no issue with your mobile carrier delivering this message to your device.
- Disconnect any VPNs.
- If using the GoFundMe app, try uninstalling and reinstalling the app and then request the code again.
- Try requesting the code from a different browser (i.e. if using FireFox, try Chrome instead).
- Try using a different internet connection (i.e. if you're using mobile data, try switching to Wi-Fi).
- Clear your cache and cookies, then request the code again.
If you're still having trouble, please submit this form so that our team can reset the number for you.
