After an invitation has been sent, beneficiaries can accept their invitation from their account to receive the money. If your beneficiary are having trouble locating the invitation, please make sure the beneficiary checks their junk/spam folder of the address where the invitation was sent. Troubleshooting steps for a missing beneficiary invitation:
- If there is an existing GoFundMe account under your beneficiary's email, try having them sign into GoFundMe under their email. When signing in, the option to "Accept" will be presented.
- If there is not an existing GoFundMe account under their email, try having them sign up for a new GoFundMe account using the email where the invitation was sent.
If the invitation was sent to the wrong email address and was not claimed by the beneficiary, the campaign organizer can cancel the old beneficiary invitation by clicking "Withdraw," then "View beneficiary overview" and finally they can scroll to "Cancel invite." From there, they can click the option to send an invitation to the correct email from within their account.
