Why is my GoFundMe fundraiser inactive?
To prevent this from happening, please be sure to post a fundraiser update every few months as this will be considered activity on the fundraiser.
Additionally, as of September 30th, GoFundMe made a transition in the system used for processing donations. If all of the funds from your fundraiser were withdrawn, your fundraiser was moved from active to inactive. If you still need to raise funds for your cause, we can help you recreate your fundraiser and update it to our new payment processor.
What to do if your fundraiser is inactive
If your fundraiser is inactive and your GoFundMe account itself is a bit older (more than a few years), then it would actually be best to start fresh with a new fundraiser. This will ensure that you are updated to our newest pricing model, and paid with our current payment processors.
If you have an inactive fundraiser and you are sure that you have not withdrawn the funds, please contact our team so that we can help you access the inactive fundraiser.
If you do not want to continue raising funds, but you'd like a copy of your past fundraiser, please click here to submit your request.
How do I reactivate my fundraiser?
Once a fundraiser is deleted, it can only be reactivated by our customer support team. Keep in mind, a fundraiser will only be reactivated for the following reasons:
- The fundraiser still has funds that need to be withdrawn.
- The fundraiser is less than 6 months old.
- You need to post an update or thank donors.
