Track your progress for your next fitness fundraising challenge
GoFundMe Challenges partners with Strava so you can easily track your progress for your next fitness fundraising challenge. Whether you hike, bike, or run, Strava will record your progress and keep you on track for your fundraising goals.
Don’t use Strava? You can also manually add your activities from within your GoFundMe account.
How to link your GoFundMe Challenge fundraiser with Strava
Follow these steps to connect to Strava:
- Log into your GoFundMe account, click on "Your fundraisers", and select your fitness fundraiser
- Select the Activity tracking card underneath your goal
- Select “Track with Strava”
- Select “Connect with Strava”
- Log in if you already have a Strava account, or select “Create a new account” if you’re new to Strava
- Once you’re logged in, you’ll be prompted to “Authorize GoFundMe to connect to Strava”
- Select what Strava will be able to access (data about your public profile is required), and then select “Authorize”
Once your Strava account is connected, you can record your activity like you usually would, and your miles will automatically be added to your fitness challenge fundraiser.
To disconnect Strava from your GoFundMe account, follow these steps:
- Log into your GoFundMe account and select “Account settings” from the menu in the top, right corner
- Scroll to “Connected app permissions” and select “Revoke access” next to Strava
- Select “Revoke access” again to confirm your choice
How to manually track your activity within GoFundMe
After launching your Challenge fundraiser, you can manually add your activity within your GoFundMe account. Your progress will display on your fundraiser page so supporters can see how you’re progressing towards your goal.
Just follow these steps:
- Log into your GoFundMe account, click on "Your fundraisers", and select your fitness fundraiser
- Select the Activity card underneath your goal
- Select “Add progress”
- Choose your Activity type, how much activity you’ve completed, and what date you completed it, then click “Save”
You can continue to add progress, and each new entry will be added to a running list under your “Progress” card.
Follow these steps to edit or delete manually added activities:
- From your fitness fundraiser's “Manage" dashboard, select the Activity card
- Scroll to the entry you’d like to edit or delete and select the three dots on the right-hand side
- Select “Edit” or “Delete” from the menu
- Edit: Make changes to the Activity type or number miles, time, etc. and then “Save”
- Delete: Select “Delete” again to confirm you’d like to delete the entry
