The GoFundMe Tip
Rather than charging a platform fee on personal fundraisers, GoFundMe gives donors the option to add a voluntary tip. Your donation receipt will show you a breakdown of your donation and tip amount. On your statement, this will either show up as a single combined charge or as two separate charges.
These tips allow GoFundMe to maintain and improve our free platform. We are incredibly grateful for the donors who help keep GoFundMe the safest, most trusted, and most successful option for personal fundraising. Only with your help can we continue to provide help to others when they need it most.

Other Pending Charges
If you only donated once to a fundraiser, but see extra pending charges on your bank statement, don’t worry! It doesn’t necessarily mean that you will be charged multiple times.
Credit card companies sometimes show attempted charges on statements as a security precaution to let their customers know how their cards are being used. These charges will usually drop off within 24 hours of your payment attempt once your bank sees that the payment didn't actually go through.
If they do not drop off within 24 hours, please contact our team.
