Reporting Fraud - What to do when you think a fundraiser is fraudulent

GoFundMe is dedicated to empowering people to help others, and we strive to keep our platform safe and legitimate. In the rare instance that someone creates a fundraiser with the intention to mislead donors, our team takes swift action.

Among other things, we rely on community reports for information. In most instances, information reported to us will not be shared with the organizer or beneficiary by us. Your help in keeping our platform safe is greatly appreciated.

If you are not a donor or a beneficiary, but are concerned about a fundraiser, click here to report a fundraiser.

If you are (1) a donor who feels misled by a fundraiser or (2) a beneficiary who is owed some or all of a fundraiser’s donations, please click here to file a claim under the GoFundMe Guarantee. Terms and Conditions apply.

If you need assistance with your GoFundMe account, please visit our help center.

GoFundMe cooperates with law enforcement and provides them with any information needed in an investigation. If you are a member of law enforcement looking to contact our team, please visit our Legal Contact Info page.
