How GoFundMe verifies donors

Members of the GoFundMe Risk team may contact donors via email to confirm their donations. This happens especially if they donated using another person’s name, a new location, or had some trouble completing the donation at first.

If our team needs to contact you, it will be via email with the subject line “GoFundMe Donation Confirmation Requested”. However, it's always good to be cautious about emails that you receive. If you're concerned about an email that you received, please click "Contact us" to contact our team.
