On the fundraiser creation page, check the currency of your fundraiser to determine which requirements you need to meet in order to be able to withdraw the funds raised.
Once a currency is selected for a fundraiser you will not be able to change it, so it is very important to confirm you meet all the withdrawal requirements before launching your fundraiser.
Example: If the US dollar is selected as the currency, you must meet the requirements for the USA in order to continue. If you do not meet the requirements for that country, but you do for another, please change the currency before beginning your fundraiser.
If you do not meet the requirements for any of our supported countries, do not create a fundraiser. You must ask someone who does meet the requirements to create one for you. If you create a fundraiser and cannot withdraw the funds, all donations will be refunded.
If you are withdrawing funds to a business bank account, you can find more specific information, and a helpful video on business withdrawals here.

Documents needed for Verification
Our payment partner may also request the following documentation if they cannot automatically verify the information you entered.
Your government-issued ID
If your identity information can't be automatically verified, then there's a chance you'll need to provide a copy of your government-issued photo ID. All of the following are acceptable forms of ID:

Examples of acceptable IDs:
Your banking information
You will need to use a bank account that is registered in your name and located in the country you signed up in. Note: for customers in the EU, you will be able to use a bank account that is registered in any supported EU country.
You’ll be able to fill out your bank information from within your account after your fundraiser has been created. If there are any issues with verifying your bank account, our payment processor may require a bank statement showing all of the following elements be uploaded to your account:
- Your bank logo, or branch information (must be issued by the bank)
- Your name as the account holder
- The bank account number entered in your GoFundMe account*
- Your sort code (if in the UK)
If you cannot provide a bank statement that meets the requirements, you also have the option of uploading a photo of a voided check to your account in place of a bank statement.
*Please note: If you bank with a credit union, they may not list the full account number on your bank statement. If at least the last four digits of your account number are not listed, you should upload a voided check instead.
Example of an acceptable bank statement:
If you are required to upload documents, you can do so by clicking the Withdraw button on your fundraiser dashboard, as shown below. Please be sure that the files are the right size and contain all of the necessary information outlined above prior to uploading them. Failure to do so may result in delays to you receiving your funds.
Important Document Verification Timelines
If you do have to upload any of the above documentation, it will take our payment partner 1-2 business days to review and approve the information you sent over. This can extend the time it takes for you to receive your funds, so it’s important to plan around that.
If you are withdrawing to a business/organization bank account, it may take our payment partner 5-8 business days to review and approve the information you sent over.
Bank deposits also take 2-5 business days to arrive in your bank account from the time they are sent.
Important: Only send personal and private information through official GoFundMe email communication and the email addresses of our payment partners. If you have any concerns regarding the security or legitimacy of the email you receive, please contact our team immediately.
