One of our main goals is to ensure that your GoFundMe campaign content falls within our Terms of Service.
If campaign content violates our Terms of Service, the campaign may be suspended by the GoFundMe Community Management team.
When a GoFundMe campaign is suspended, the link is inactive to the public and can only be viewed by the campaign organizer or the added beneficiary.
How can I tell if my campaign is suspended?
When a GoFundMe campaign is suspended, a banner displays at the top of the campaign dashboard as shown below.
An email with the subject "Urgent Message from GoFundMe - Response Required' will also be sent to the campaign organizer addressing the suspension. This email could be hiding in your spam, junk, or inbox folders - so please check there.
In order for the GoFundMe campaign to be reinstated, the campaign organizer must follow the instructions provided in the original email.
If you are the campaign organizer, simply reply to our initial outreach when you have completed the steps provided, and our Community Management or Trust & Safety team will be able to finalize their review.
If you are the beneficiary, you may not have received an email. So, we recommend asking the campaign organizer to make sure they followed the instructions provided in our initial outreach.
If you cannot locate our Trust & Safety team’s initial outreach, please contact us here.
