One of our main goals is to ensure that your GoFundMe fundraiser content falls within our Terms of Service. If fundraiser content violates our Terms of Service, the fundraiser may be suspended by the GoFundMe Community Management team.
When a GoFundMe fundraiser is suspended, the link is inactive to the public and can only be viewed by the GoFundMe organizer or the added beneficiary.
How can I tell if my fundraiser is suspended?
When a GoFundMe fundraiser is suspended, a banner displays at the top of the fundraiser dashboard as shown below.
An email with the subject "Urgent Message from GoFundMe - Response Required" will also be sent to the GoFundMe organizer addressing the suspension. This email could be hiding in your spam, junk, or inbox folders - so please check there.
In order for the GoFundMe fundraiser to be reinstated, the GoFundMe organizer must follow the instructions provided in the original email.
If you are the GoFundMe organizer, simply reply to our initial outreach when you have completed the steps provided, and our Community Management or Trust & Safety team will be able to finalize their review.
If you are the beneficiary, you may not have received an email. So, we recommend asking the GoFundMe organizer to make sure they followed the instructions provided in our initial outreach.
If you cannot locate our Trust & Safety team’s initial outreach, please click "Get help" on this page.
