React to others’ GoFundMe Profiles

React to others in your giving community. Whether they’ve started a new fundraiser, pinned a fundraiser to their profile, or chose new top causes, you can show the love, and your support, by adding a green heart, leaving a comment, or sharing their activity. 

When you react or comment, your name will be linked to your profile.

How to react to someone’s activity

You can visit someone’s profile directly to see what they’re up to, or you can scroll through your notifications by clicking the bell in the top right corner of your profile. Then you can click into activities you’re feeling inspired by and click the heart button in the bottom left corner to react.

How to leave a comment on someone’s activity

When viewing someone’s activity, click the comment button, and you’ll be able to share your thoughts and encouragement. Others can reply to your comment, and if you’d like to continue engaging, you can visit that user’s profile to follow them or continue replying on the thread.

If you want to reply to someone else’s comment, just click “Reply”, and you’ll be able to type and send your response. 

Delete comments or replies

You can easily delete your comments or replies:

1. Click the three dots to the right of your name on the comment
2. Choose “Delete comment”
3. Click “Delete”

You can also delete your replies from the same menu by choosing “Delete comment”.

Disable Comments

You can easily disable comments on your activity.

1. From your GoFundMe Profile, scroll to the “Your activity” section
2. Click the three dots to the right of your name on one of your activities
3. Choose “Disable comments”
4. Click “Disable”

Once you disable comments, all comments and replies that were previously posted will be deleted. Once comments have been disabled on an activity, they cannot be re-enabled for that activity.

How to know when someone comments on your activity

When someone comments on your activity, you will receive a notification about their message.

Who can comment on your activity?

Anyone with a GoFundMe account can comment on your activity. You can delete comments on your activities, and you can prevent certain users from being able to comment on your activities by blocking that user’s profile. To learn more about comment permissions, see our transparency article.

Sharing someone’s activity

When viewing someone’s activity, click the share button . This will generate a link to the activity that you can then share over text, social media, etc.
